Discontent with the performance and features of the previous software version, we decided to update our application and bring it back to its original state. Pursuant to this undertaking we’ve developed a new iteration of SimpleCast – v3.1. 0.
Unlike the previous version, SimpleCast v3.1.0 supports plugins which allows an additional ability to customize streams’ characteristics. For example, you may customize video size and aspect ratio in various ways, adjust the number of sound channels in the channel browser, change channel’s output settings (volume level or mute state), etc. there are also options to display channel name and color code on the channel browser window.
The application gives you an opportunity to create your very own plugin for each stream that will let you do more than just simple cast actions like changing channels or fullscreening streams into separate interfaces.

SimpleCast is free to use for all its features. The application does not have any limitations on its use, except for possible system resource shortages due to an overuse of the application.
SimpleCast is a non-proprietary application. However, Creative Commons CC0 indicates that the application should be considered as being in the public domain, therefore anyone using it is permitted to do so under these terms.
The application uses the FFmpeg library. We cannot provide support for it, because it was originally developed by volunteers. The only exception is when you use it for your commercial purposes, in which case you’ll need to contact us.
